This is an entry-level role designed to build foundational knowledge of compressor systems, test procedures, and safe work practices.\nJOB FUNCTIONS\nInclude the following, but other duties may be assigned.\nInspect and test compressor components and systems to determine compliance with order specifications, company quality control system, and legal requirements.\nRead and interpret blueprints and schematics and utilize these drawings for verification of system assembly and troubleshooting. .\nConnect “Low Power” (120v, 240v, 480v) electrical leads from power sources to compressor systems.\nCommunicate effectively to immediate supervisor the status of needed parts or issues preventing unit completion.\nOperate, read, and record test data from devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, pressure gauges, and compressor HMI’s.\nRecord test data using computer-based apps or software.\nFollow the Workmanship Standards and the ISO quality system. Utilize these practices in everyday work activity.\nMaintain work environment in accordance with Lean 6S standards and perform tasks in accordance with company safety standards.\nWork at different workstations as production needs require.\nDemonstrate safe use of hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of two (2) years of related mechanical and electrical experience.\nBasic knowledge of electrical motor controls and PLC systems.\nFamiliarity with Lean concepts.\nProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and standard measuring devices such as tape measures, scales.\nAble to follow directions and work effectively under supervision.\nMust be detail-oriented, able to multitask, and prioritize demands.\nAble to identify and safely operate standard hand, power, and air tools.\nAbility to communicate information clearly and effectively.\nAble to receive constructive criticism and learn from others.\nVALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nCertification or technical training in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.\nGeneral understanding of other assembly functions, including piping, tubing (bending and swaging), and belt alignment.\nKnowledge of compressors and pneumatics.\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office products and CAD-based software.\nLean Certification.\nAble to operate forklifts or powered lifting machinery, or obtain certification as needed.\nREPORTING TO THIS POSITION\nNone.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT\nRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, grasp, handle, reach, listen, and talk. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds or request assistance. Work conditions include elevated noise levels and extreme temperatures. Required daily PPE includes safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection as needed.
