You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through deployment-collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading design reviews, and supporting field testing. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in power engineering and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where precision and innovation drive results.\nDUTIES:\nDesign and test power electronics including ESCs, inverters, and rectifiers.\nDevelop and validate generator systems for hybrid-electric propulsion.\nSupport design, integration, and thermal management of battery systems.\nImplement high-voltage distribution and grounding strategies for aircraft platforms.\nDiagnose and validate electrical systems using oscilloscopes, DAQs, and multimeters.\nCollaborate with controls, avionics, mechanical, and aero teams to ensure safety and efficiency.\nContribute to ground and flight test activities with hands-on hardware debugging and data collection.\nDocument design work, validation procedures, and test results for internal and external reviews.\nSKILLS:\nMust be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted asylum/refugee status, in accordance with ITAR/EAR regulations).\nBachelor’s degree (BS) or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n2+ years of relevant experience (aviation, automotive, robotics, or similar industries).\nStrong background in power engineering, high-power systems, and energy storage.\nExperience with DC generators, motor controllers, and battery pack design.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and validate systems above 5,000 watts.\nProficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQs).\nNICE TO HAVE SKILLS:\nExperience with Altium Designer for PCB layout.\nPrevious PCB design and validation experience.\nFamiliarity with hybrid-electric or aerospace power systems.\nHands-on experience integrating electrical systems with multidisciplinary platforms.\nBONUS:\nPrior experience working on airborne or high-reliability electrical systems.\nFamiliarity with certification standards for aerospace or automotive power systems.\nPassion for our mission to revolutionize wildfire mitigation through autonomous aerospace technology.\nEXPECTED HOURS/SCHEDULE:\nFull Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -
