The platform will support supply chain, inventory, purchasing, material planning, production execution, and traceability.\nThis person must be comfortable evaluating an existing codebase, improving established software, and designing new systems.\nThis is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring demonstrated experience delivering and maintaining production business applications. The engineer will work closely with the Supply Chain & Operations Software Manager, who will identify operational needs and establish priorities. The engineer will own technical implementation, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver reliable software in manageable phases.\nKey Responsibilities\nPartner with the Supply Chain & Operations Software Manager and business users to understand workflows, document requirements, and translate operational needs into maintainable software.\nEvaluate the existing B4Bridge application, source code when available under license, database structure, and integrations to help determine an appropriate development approach.\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and relational databases.\nExtend and refactor an existing licensed application or establish the architecture and foundation for a new platform.\nDevelop capabilities for part and product records, bills of materials, revision control, purchasing, receiving, inventory, material allocation, work orders, and production reporting.\nImplement serial and lot traceability, material consumption, quality status handling, and auditable transaction history.\nProtect data integrity through database constraints, transaction management, concurrency controls, validation, and reliable error handling.\nBuild practical interfaces for office and shop-floor users, including search, data entry, reporting, and operational dashboards.\nIntegrate with approved business systems and develop tools for data import, export, migration, and reconciliation.\nImplement authentication, role-based authorization, approval workflows, and audit logging.\nEstablish automated tests and deployment pipelines; manage application releases and database changes with appropriate validation and recovery procedures.\nDiagnose production issues, improve performance, and maintain application monitoring and technical documentation.\nWork with IT and security personnel to deploy and support the platform in company-approved environments.\nUse approved development tools and follow company requirements for protecting proprietary, sensitive, and export-controlled information.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nFive or more years of professional software development experience, including substantial responsibility for production business applications.\nDemonstrated ability to independently deliver full-stack application features from requirements and database design through deployment and ongoing support.\nStrong backend development skills in C#/.NET or a comparable application framework, with the ability to work within an existing technology stack.\nProficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.\nStrong SQL and relational database design skills, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and database migrations.\nExperience developing complex business applications involving inventory, order management, manufacturing, supply chain, financial transactions, or comparable workflows where data accuracy and auditability are essential.\nExperience reading, debugging, extending, and refactoring an unfamiliar codebase.\nExperience designing and integrating APIs and implementing reliable background processing.\nWorking knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive data.\nProficiency with Git, automated testing, debugging, and CI/CD practices.\nAbility to make practical architecture decisions, explain technical tradeoffs, estimate work, and deliver incrementally.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and nontechnical colleagues.\nAbility to independently understand, explain, debug, and validate the code and architecture they deliver. AI-assisted development tools do not substitute for these capabilities.\nMust meet the U.S. person eligibility requirement described below.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDirect experience developing or significantly customizing ERP, MES, MRP, warehouse management, or other manufacturing systems.\nExperience with PostgreSQL and C#/.NET.\nExperience with multilevel bills of materials, engineering revisions, production routings, work orders, inventory reservations, and serial/lot genealogy.\nExperience with aerospace manufacturing, quality workflows, and controlled manufacturing documentation.\nExperience assessing inherited applications and planning modernization, refactoring, or phased replacement.\nExperience migrating business data between systems and reconciling inventory balances, open orders, and historical records.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or Azure Government, Microsoft Entra ID, managed databases, and application monitoring.\nExperience with barcode scanning, label printing, document management, or CAD/PLM integrations.\nExperience building operational reports and dashboards for purchasing, material availability, production readiness, and supplier performance.\n\n About Our Company\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nEmployment in this position is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level.
