Appointment may be made on either a permanent or fixed-term basis, depending on business requirements and the outcome of the recruitment process.\nReporting to the Compounding Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient production of sterile compounded products while driving engagement, capability development, operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nAs a key leader within our Lean management structure, you will be responsible for translating business objectives into daily operational execution, developing team capability, identifying improvement opportunities, and fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nThis role offers an opportunity to make a genuine impact through leadership, coaching, operational performance and the development of a high-performing team.\nShift: Monday to Friday. Flexibility across operational hours required depending on business requirements between 6.30 am until 21:00 pm.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPeople and Operational Leadership & Development\nLeading, coaching and developing a diverse team - managing performance, engagement and development conversations\nBuilding team capability through coaching, cross-training and skills development and creating a culture of accountability, continuous learning and ownership\nSupporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities\nManagement of staff time and attendance systems\nLeading day-to-day production activities to achieve quality, service and productivity targets\nSupporting daily management processes and performance review routines\nMonitoring staffing, workflow and production priorities\nEnsuring effective shift handovers and operational readiness\nSupporting customer service outcomes and delivery performance\nContinuous Improvement & Lean Leadership\nLeading frontline problem-solving activities\nSupporting the implementation and sustainment of Lean tools and practices\nDriving operator-led improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities\nIdentifying trends, recurring issues and improvement opportunities\nSupporting site-wide Continuous Improvement programs\nQuality, Safety & Compliance\nChampioning a zero-harm safety culture\nEnsuring compliance with GMP, quality and safety requirements\nSupporting investigation activities, root cause analysis and corrective actions\nMaintaining audit readiness and regulatory compliance, and participate in audits where appropriate\nDriving adherence to standard work and operational procedures\nSkills and Qualifications:\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nPrevious leadership or people management experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare or related environments\nStrong coaching, communication and stakeholder management skills\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance outcomes\nExperience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities\nSound decision-making and organisational skills\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment\nStrong commitment to safety, quality and compliance\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles would be highly regarded\nApply today for a career that matters!
