We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Filling Operator to work permanent full-time our Day shift (Monday to Friday 7:00h-15:00h EST) at our Alliston facility. Working together in a supportive and open\nculture makes our processes evolve for the better and engages our workforce.\nThe following are dress/gowning requirements:\n- Safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard\ncover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)\nConstant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise\n- Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nThe Filling Operator is responsible for performing the following duties on a rotating basis on the line: Visual Inspection of IV bag assembly, Filling IV solution in various bag sizes, placing bags into protective over-wrap, loading bags onto sterilizer trays.\nDuties performed on a rotational basis\nUsing scales, weigh filled bags at regular intervals to ensure proper fill volume.\nVisually inspect each filled bag assembly for proper fill volume, air volume, code number, expiration date, lot number, and other quality characteristics. Pick up filled bag assembly from conveyor, position bag in over wrapper spec.\nLoad over-wrapped bag into sealing machine.\nLoad sealed over-wrapped assemblies onto sterilizer trucks ensuring proper number of samples and proper positioning.\nPerform necessary inspections including quality checks throughout each step-in process.\nDocument count of rejects. Rework bags when necessary.\nDuties performed on a continual or intermittent basis\nLearn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current\nGood Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)\nNotify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur\nSustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles\nWhat You'll Bring\nSuccessful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)\nMust pass ergonomic assessment to ensure ability to perform bonafide essential job duties\nExperience doing repetitive tasks\nManufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment\nExperience in food or manufacturing industry\nPrevious experience working in a fast-paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred)\nFlexibility to weekends\nPositive attitude, and an ability to work in a team setting with a focus on quality assurance and attention to detail.\nGarbing Processes\nPay Transparency Language:\nWe understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. You may also be entitled to a shift premium for all shift premium eligible hours which will be included in your bi-weekly pay.
