You will work with cross functional resources located in the US.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDesign, develop, and maintain cloud-based web applications and software solutions that support new product development, product enhancements, and field issue resolution.\nCollaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA, and Engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.\nApply modern architecture patterns, design principles, and software engineering best practices to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable applications.\nLead subsystem-level design and development activities, driving technical execution with minimal oversight while ensuring alignment with overall product architecture.\nDevelop, test, debug, and optimize software components, ensuring adherence to quality, performance, and security standards.\nChampion the application of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and IEC 62304 methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.\nParticipate in architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement.\nAdapt to evolving business priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.\nActively contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and design sessions to support effective product delivery.\nWhat you’ll bring\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.\n12-15 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications, with a strong track record of delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.\nProven expertise in full-stack application development using Java, TypeScript, React, and modern software engineering practices.\nHands-on experience developing solutions on Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud platforms, including containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, enterprise integration patterns, and distributed systems.\nExperience with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other modern database technologies; exposure to Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms is a plus.\nProficiency with DevOps and CI/CD practices, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps, code quality, and automated testing frameworks.\nExperience with messaging technologies such as MQTT, with exposure to Kafka or RabbitMQ considered advantageous.\nFamiliarity with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.\nStrong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, software architecture, and secure coding practices.\nHealthcare, medical device, or other regulated industry experience is preferred.\nProven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence key architectural decisions.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and global collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making abilities.\nExperience mentoring teams and driving innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven in fast-paced environments.\nCustomer-focused with a strong commitment to engineering excellence and business outcomes.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nBaxter is an equal opportunity employer.
