The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLead the Verification & Validation (V&V) strategy, test architecture, and automation framework design to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant software products.\nProvide technical leadership across new product development, sustaining engineering, and field issue resolution initiatives.\nOversee test planning, execution, and approval of key V&V deliverables, ensuring readiness for product releases and project milestones.\nDrive the adoption of test automation, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, and quality engineering best practices to improve product quality and team efficiency.\nPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project execution.\nChampion customer-focused quality by ensuring robust validation processes and timely resolution of product issues.\nMentor, coach, and develop V&V engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nPromote adherence to industry standards and development methodologies, including IEC 62304, SDLC, Agile, Software Security, and Quality Management System requirements.\nRepresent the V&V function in product, engineering, and leadership discussions, influencing technical decisions and driving alignment across teams.\nContinuously enhance testing processes, automation capabilities, and quality practices to support scalable and reliable product delivery.\nWhat You'll Bring\n10-15 years of experience in Software Verification & Validation (V&V), including 3-5+ years in a Test Lead or Technical Leadership role within Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.\nProven expertise in defining and leading test strategy, test architecture, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices for complex enterprise products.\nStrong technical background in test automation, Python, Selenium, TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).\nDemonstrated success delivering compliant, high-quality software products within FDA, IEC, ISO, and other regulated environments.\nDeep understanding of software architecture, modern development practices, and enterprise-scale product development.\nRecognized leader with a track record of driving technical excellence, mentoring engineering teams, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.\nStrong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer outcomes.\nExperience leading and collaborating with global, multi-site teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.\nExcellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and decision-making across all levels of the organization.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nBaxter is an equal opportunity employer.
