Baxter, Thetford are searching for an experienced Software & Automation Engineer to join the team.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nManage system automation and control projects to the highest standard of capital management, schedule compliance and system handover criteria.\nProvide technical expertise on key engineering projects and process improvement projects\nDevelop technical specifications in the area of automation, instrumentation and process control\nManagement of change and software best practices for all site automation equipment\nSupport maintenance in resolution of control and instrumentation issues where necessary\nManage automation data; acquisition, management, storage, and presentation from machine to enterprise level.\nWhat we’re looking for\nHigh degree of competency in PLC operation and philosophy, hardware and software\nExperience with electrical schematics, electronic circuitry, control loops\nExperience with electrical panel wiring, device configuration and integration\nExperience in communications protocols such as TCP/IP, Serial, fibre and integration into automation systems\nExperience within manufacturing automation, robotics and servo motion control\nExperience in the area of SCADA, Process Control Systems (PCS), HMI & Distributed Control Systems (DCS)\nExperience of working in a highly validated environment with working experience and or qualifications in Computer System Validation (CSV) and Computer Systems regulatory compliance\nExperience of software working in an agile environment\nCompetency in IT hard/ware/software troubleshooting and repair\nExperience of automation data acquisition, management, storage and presentation from machine to enterprise level\nExperience with database management and design; SQL, Oracle.\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive Salary\nPremium overtime rates\nDay shift role\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\nUp to 8% pension contribution\nSubsidised canteen\nWestfield healthcare\nBluelight card\nEmployee discount scheme\nEmployee assistance programme\nStrong internal progression opportunities\nTechnical training and development\nWe do not expect candidates to tick every box.
