As the Sr. Reliability Engineer - Mechanical Integrity, you will be a key member of the Engineering and Reliability organization supporting the Anesthesia Manufacturing Site.\nYou will collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, and Corporate partners to drive equipment reliability, asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. In this role, you will lead the site's Mechanical Integrity Program, ensuring critical assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting Baxter's commitment to quality and patient safety.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLead and continuously improve the site's Mechanical Integrity Program.\nDevelop and implement reliability strategies that support plant performance and business objectives.\nEnsure Mechanical Integrity activities are executed in alignment with production schedules and operational priorities.\nIdentify and manage asset reliability risks that could impact safety, compliance, production, or business operations.\nConduct equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).\nLead Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives and risk-based maintenance strategies.\nUtilize tools such as FMEA, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs to improve asset performance.\nAnalyze maintenance data, downtime trends, and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.\nSupport reliability improvements for critical manufacturing and utility systems.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Mechanical Integrity, PSM, RMP, and applicable pressure vessel regulations.\nSupport inspections, audits, and regulatory assessments.\nMaintain technical documentation and ensure program compliance with company standards and industry best practices.\nServe as a technical resource during internal and external audits.\nSupport inventory management of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials required for Mechanical Integrity activities.\nDevelop and optimize maintenance job plans and reliability strategies.\nPartner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment availability and reliability.\nSupport maintenance and capital project planning activities.\nContribute to maintenance and capital budget development, forecasting, and cost tracking.\nIdentify and implement maintenance cost reduction opportunities.\nSupport site Reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRepresent the site on corporate teams, projects, and strategic initiatives.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum of 8 years of experience within a pharmaceutical, chemical, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering and maintenance.\nHands-on experience supporting Mechanical Integrity programs and asset reliability initiatives.\nExperience in maintenance, equipment design, project engineering, and manufacturing operations.\nStrong knowledge of Mechanical Integrity, Reliability Engineering, and Asset Management principles.\nExperience with:Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)\nFailure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)\nRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)\nPredictive and Preventive Maintenance Programs\nProcess Safety Management (PSM)\nRisk Management Programs (RMP)\n\nKnowledge of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, and industrial process systems.\nExperience with CAD systems and engineering software tools.\nAbility to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.\nDemonstrated ability to lead improvement initiatives and manage complex technical challenges.\nStrong project management and organizational skills.\nFully bilingual in English and Spanish.\nAbility to communicate technical information effectively to leadership, operators, engineers, auditors, and regulatory agencies.\nCertifications Preferred\nAPI 510, 570, 579, 580/581, 653\nUS Benefits at Baxter (except for Puerto Rico)\nThis is where your well-being matters.
