You’ll work closely with hardware and avionics teams to ensure reliable, high-performance software that meets aerospace standards.\nDUTIES:\nDevelop and maintain embedded software for flight computers, with a focus on real-time performance and reliability.\nWrite and optimize code in C for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or similar).\nImplement drivers, bootloaders, and middleware for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO).\nIntegrate algorithms into embedded applications for navigation, control, and data processing.\nDebug software directly on custom hardware in collaboration with hardware engineers.\nPerform unit, integration, and system-level testing of embedded software.\nEnsure compliance with safety-critical aerospace standards and real-time system requirements.\nParticipate in system architecture design and software code reviews.\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nMust be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted asylum/refugee status, in accordance with ITAR/EAR regulations).\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n Expertise in C programming for embedded systems (must-have).\n Strong hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or similar).\n Proven track record in embedded system design, coding, and debugging.\nExperience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) for scheduling and task management.\nFamiliarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.\nStrong understanding of deterministic, real-time software design.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills.\nBONUS:\nExperience with NXP i.MX RT series or similar high-performance microcontrollers.\nFamiliarity with aerospace software standards (e.g., DO-178C).\nExperience with embedded Linux or other real-time operating systems.\nKnowledge of avionics or flight computer architectures.\nProficiency with Git and CI/CD for embedded software.\nAssembly language programming experience for optimization.\nFamiliarity with Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) applications.\nPassion for our mission to revolutionize wildfire mitigation through autonomous aerospace technology.\nEXPECTED HOURS/SCHEDULE:\nFull Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -
