This role combines supply chain expertise with hands-on software development, with a primary focus on procurement, material planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and production readiness.\nThe ideal candidate understands how materials, information, and decisions move through a manufacturing organization and can translate operational needs into reliable software, automation, and system improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead improvements to purchasing, material planning, inventory control, supplier management, and shortage resolution.\nIdentify supply risks and operational bottlenecks; implement solutions that improve material availability, delivery performance, and cost.\nOwn the roadmap for supply chain and operations software, prioritizing projects based on business needs and measurable impact.\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain internal applications, integrations, and automation tools.\nImprove ERP and MRP workflows and connect business systems to reduce manual work and strengthen data accuracy.\nDevelop dashboards and reporting for supplier delivery, inventory accuracy, material shortages, lead times, and purchasing performance.\nPartner with procurement, production, engineering, quality, and finance to define requirements and implement solutions.\nEstablish processes for item records, bills of materials, purchasing data, inventory transactions, and other critical supply chain information.\nDocument software and processes, train users, and provide ongoing support.\nWork with IT and compliance teams to maintain appropriate access controls and protect sensitive information.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, information systems, or a related field.\n At least 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, procurement, material planning, operations, or supply chain systems, including responsibility for process or system improvements.\nStrong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, supplier performance, lead times, bills of materials, and ERP/MRP processes.\nDemonstrated ability to independently develop and maintain software that solves business problems.\nFamiliarity with version control, software testing, troubleshooting, and deployment practices.\nAbility to translate operational requirements into clear technical specifications and usable tools.\nStrong analytical, project management, and communication skills.\nAbility to balance ongoing supply chain needs with software development priorities.\nMust meet the U.S. person.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or another regulated industry.\nExperience implementing, configuring, or extending ERP/MRP systems.\nExperience developing tools for purchasing, supplier tracking, inventory planning, or production scheduling.\nFamiliarity with Lean methods, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.\nExperience leading projects, coordinating vendors, or mentoring team members.\nProficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.\nExperience with SQL, relational databases, APIs, and business system
