This role requires proficiency in both legacy and contemporary tools, contributing to scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly software solutions that advance Bay Cove Human Services' mission.\nEssential Functions of Position:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications using:Python/Django\nMicrosoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures)\nModern front-end frameworks and tools, including:\nHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), JSON\nBootstrap 4 and 5\nDatatables.js and other data visualization libraries\nGulp for task automation\nYarn and NPM for package management\nMigrate legacy apps from Adobe ColdFusion to Python/Django; Support legacy apps as needed.\nBuild user interfaces that are accessible, responsive, and visually consistent using modern design tools such as Canva or Figma and Confluence (for mockups and prototyping).\nWork closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.\nLead or participate in project planning, code reviews, and documentation processes.\nManage and mentor junior developers on best practices in full stack development.\nCreate and maintain reusable components and code libraries.\nCollaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and execute test plans and ensure high-quality releases.\nProvide Tier 2/3 application support and troubleshoot production issues.\nStay current with emerging technologies and propose relevant improvements.\nContribute to improving internal development processes.\nParticipate in agency-wide IT planning and strategy sessions.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in Python/Django ColdFusion web application development.\nStrong working knowledge of front-end technologies and responsive web design.\nCan work easily with CFFILE, Session and Application Variables, etc.\nExperience in working with MS SQL Server databases.\nUnderstanding of web services and API integration.\nDemonstrated ability to stay current with relevant technologies and applications.\nFamiliarity with UI/UX design principles and tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe XD\nExperience with Python Django web development is a favorable\nKnowledge of health care environment, particularly mental health, developmental services or substance abuse services, is preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a culturally diverse work community.\nAbility to work collaboratively as a member of multidisciplinary teams.\nProfessional documentation and communication skills, as well as demonstrated organizational skills.\nAbility to function under pressure in a fast-paced human service environment.\nAbility to be flexible, open and responsive to ongoing industry changes.\nAbility to identify opportunities and obstacles and develop effective, creative solutions to pursue opportunities.\nBay Cove Human Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, or any other groups as protected by Massachusetts or federal law.
