This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud-native integration solutions, middleware services, and Azure integration platform components. The engineer will build serverless services and workflows, manage APIs and B2B services, and connect on-premises and cloud systems using established integration standards and patterns.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop enterprise integration solutions using Azure Integration Services and Azure cloud infrastructure.\nDesign API-led, event-driven, batch, real-time, asynchronous, and hybrid integration patterns using services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.\nApply established integration standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures while contributing improvements based on implementation experience.\nRegister, publish, secure, and manage APIs and services through Canopy (Bayer’s API Management Platform) or Azure API Management.\nImplement API and application security, throttling, policies, versioning, authentication, authorization, and governance using OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, certificates, Azure Key Vault, and related controls.\nDevelop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and integrate Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB as appropriate.\nConfigure and support Azure Application Gateway and Integration Accounts, including B2B workflows and AS2-based integrations.\nImplement infrastructure as code for environment provisioning and infrastructure setup, including networking, connectivity, observability, security, Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, Azure Policy, and Azure resources.\nBuild reusable templates for Azure services and integration platform components.\nDevelop and maintain centralized CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and automated deployment practices.\nPerform unit, integration, regression, and production-readiness testing, and support release and production cutover activities.\nProvide production support and operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, performance optimization, and service reliability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.\nCollaborate with business teams, application owners, senior engineers, and architects during solution design, implementation, modernization, and operational support.\nDesign, build, and orchestrate AI-driven migration pipelines for modernizing legacy IBM stack and MuleSoft integrations to Azure.\nUse coding-agent tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot-preferably Cursor-to accelerate code analysis, migration, development, testing, and documentation.\nPerform reverse engineering and codebase discovery, including business-rule extraction, dependency mapping, interface analysis, and migration-impact assessment.\nGenerate automated tests and validate functional equivalence between legacy and migrated integration services.\nBuild or extend specialized AI agents for migration activities when existing tooling does not meet project requirements.\nRequired Skills:\nAzure Logic Apps\nAzure Functions\nAzure Service Bus\nAzure Event Grid / Event Hub\nAzure Data Factory (ADF)\nIntegration Account (B2B)\nAzure Application Gateway\nProgramming & Scripting: C# / .NET, Python, SQL\nREST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, XSLT\nAzure Key Vault\nOAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT and mTLS\nAzure API Management (APIM)\nAzure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics\nAzure DevOps & GitHub\nCI/CD, IaC (Terraform or Azure ARM)\nAPI Management Concepts\nPreferred Skills:\nMuleSoft Integration Knowledge/Experience\nIBM - DataPower, Cast Iron, and MQ Knowledge/Experience\nAzure Kubernetes Services (AKS)\nEver feel burnt out by bureaucracy?
