Participants will build practical technical skills while developing professional capabilities that prepare them for future engineering careers.\nYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe primary responsibilities of this role are to:\nAssist engineers with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment, systems, and processes;\nCollect, organize, analyze, and report technical data from laboratory, greenhouse, field, manufacturing, and operational environments;\nSupport installation, maintenance, calibration, modification, and qualification of engineering equipment and instrumentation;\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), test reports, and engineering records;\nAssist with prototype development, fixture design, fabrication, and assembly activities;\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost reduction;\nUtilize software tools for data analysis, visualization, project tracking, and technical documentation;\nParticipate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities using engineering methodologies;\nSupport project planning, execution, and tracking activities, including status reporting and milestone management;\nPresent project progress, technical findings, and recommendations to engineering and business stakeholders;\nFollow all company safety, environmental, quality, and compliance requirements.\nKey Working Relationships:\nEngineering Capability Hub engineers and technicians;\nSeed Production Innovation teams;\nProduct Supply personnel;\nExternal contractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors as applicable.\nWHO YOU ARE\nQualifications & Competencies:\nCurrently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, software engineering, or a related technical discipline;\nStrong mechanical and technical aptitude;\nBasic understanding of engineering principles and problem-solving methods;\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and documentation;\nFamiliarity with data analysis, automation, instrumentation, CAD, programming, or manufacturing systems;\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills;\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities;\nAbility to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams;\nDemonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn;\nStrong organizational and time-management skills;\nAbility to work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate;\nCommitment to safety and continuous improvement.\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $24.00 to $45.50. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc (if relevant).
