Through minority equity investments and collaboration with leading entrepreneurs, scientists, and innovators, Leaps aims to help shift key paradigms in healthcare and agriculture and bring breakthrough technologies closer to impact.\nIf you are hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds making a real difference, there is only one choice.\nYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nJoin the Leaps Crop Science team as part of a focused internship program designed for MBA and PhD candidates.\nWork with a high-performing team of MBAs, PhDs, and technologists focused on new ways of conducting business, engaging customers, modernizing platforms, and applying data and analytics;\nCouple business opportunities with breakthrough technologies to help identify unique opportunities within the organization;\nReport to the Head of Leaps by Bayer and work closely with and under the VP of Venture Investments;\nComplete two discrete, high-visibility projects focused on leveraging existing Bayer Crop Science assets across emerging fields including digital, biotech, chemistry, and agronomy;\nIdentify new investment opportunities and present findings to a panel of senior leadership at the end of the summer.\nWHO YOU ARE\nBayer seeks candidates who possess the following qualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in an MBA or graduate degree program with emphasis in strategy, finance, agronomy, biology, or chemistry;\nIn-depth study or experience with biology, chemistry, agronomy, foodtech, and/or digital agriculture;\nAbility to build financial models and pro forma capitalization tables, map resources, assess risks, and evaluate operational implications for agriculture businesses;\nAbility to compare current and future competitors;\nAt least two years of experience with strategic planning, market research, financial modeling, or portfolio management;\nStrong quantitative and analytical skills and training;\nDemonstrated ability to reduce complex concepts and put innovation ideas into practice;\nResults-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency;\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong ability to influence and motivate people through formal and informal channels;\nExperience working in a financial investment institution, such as venture capital or private equity;\nAt least two years of additional experience in relevant strategic, financial, or innovation-focused roles (as specified in the full job description). \n\n YOUR APPLICATION\n\nBayer offers a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
