This position involves analyzing production capacity, forecasting demand, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of products. Monitors inventory levels and adjusts plans as necessary to minimize disruptions.\nIn this role, you will develop, communicate, and facilitate a detailed site-level master production schedule for our Canola manufacturing sites, overseeing the growth, cleaning, treating, and packaging of commercial products. Your efforts will ensure the safe delivery of operational goals that align with our business objectives while fostering a culture built on trust and reliability.\nThis is a permanent, full-time position based out of Lethbridge, Alberta Bayer site.\nWhat you will do:\nIdentify and implement projects and initiatives that increase efficiencies and resolve detailed planning challenges to achieve customer delivery commitments and maintain inventory targets.\nAddress complex planning problems independently, utilizing financial, operational, and business judgment while adapting to ambiguous conditions.\nCreate and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all plant operations, brands, and exports to meet targets set by the North America planning team.\nCollaborate closely with export teams and state agencies to ensure timely production, inspection, permitting, and delivery of seed to export markets.\nWork with operational leaders to allocate the correct resources and supplies needed to execute the production schedule effectively.\nProactively identify and address production and scheduling issues, maintaining run dates and other information in SAP and Seed Bin to ensure accurate MRP data.\nProvide feedback to planning, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams regarding supply disruptions, unexpected issues, and continuous improvements affecting capacity.\nCollaborate with site leadership, optimization teams, vendors, contractors, and IT/automation to develop and maintain a schedule that minimizes downtime.\nConduct physical inventory counts of finished goods and raw materials at predetermined intervals to ensure data accuracy in SAP.\nManage supplies inventory and ordering to ensure availability for scheduled production runs.\nEmbrace and promote a safety-first culture at all times, supporting overall site key metrics, including safety, quality, and cost efficiency.\nFoster positive working relationships across the organization and work closely with partners to develop and maintain inventory plans.\nPerform data analysis on actual consumption rates compared to SAP rates to understand safety stocks and consumption patterns for material purchasing decisions.\nEnsure all activities/events are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Bayer Safety, compliance and Sustainability Policies.\nWho you are:\nBS degree in related field required: BS degree in Business, Supply Chain or Agriculture preferred.\n5+ years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, technology or related function\nStrong critical thinking skills to collaborate in building a vision for North America Commercial Canola Production.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nDemonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt in a fast-paced environment.\nAdditional Preferred Skills:\nProficiency in SAP, Seed Bin\nManufacturing production scheduling experience\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive compensation and rewards package\nCollaborative, diverse and inclusive culture\nCareer development and global opportunities\nWork-life flexibility programs such as flex hours, employee discounts, volunteer days, wellness, and other employee offerings\nBayer is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of Inclusion and Diversity. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation.
