If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.\nSeed Processing Operator X4\nJob Purpose:\nSetting up and operating the different equipment in the different processing areas to ensure optimal output meeting the quality standards.\nSpecific equipment required to be operated include dryers, shellers, fine cleaners, color sorters and seed treaters. Supports warehouse activities during processing shifts \nKey Tasks & Responsibilities:\nIdentify and report KPI’s on the applicable TIER meetings and ensure the measurement and analysis thereof for all responsible areas to ensure daily,weekly, monthly and annual goals are met.\nLead HSE efforts according ISO 45001 and Bayer safety standards focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRAmethodology\nParticipate in compiling Risk assessments and Job safety analysis\nActively record safety observation and near misses\nParticipate in 5WHY problem solving identifying corrective and preventative actions.\nAdhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies and procedures\nAdhere to requirements of legal appointments\nActively promote the Bayer safety culture and best practices\nManaging the flow of product through the different stages of the processes\nSet-up and operate dryer bin truck for offloading and loading of cobs\nHas excellent tipper truck driving and operating skills\nAble to drive a forklift and has certification in the same\nSet-up and operate the equipment in the different areas (Cleaning, Sizing , Color sorting, Treating, Bagging and Aspiration\nEnsure compliance with quality assurance standards and management system set by ISO9001:2015\nSupport Continuous improvement projects to drive cost saving and OEE improvement via Focused Improvement projects\nDay-to-day operations and execution of processing plan.\nMaintaining of Quality control process in processing operations. Working with the quality team\nEnsure that all OnePSS principles are implemented and followed for your area.\nMaintain housekeeping to the right level according to the 5S standard\nEnsure that the final product is of the highest standard throughout the process.\nUpdating of all visual management boards and all paperwork\nQualifications & Competencies:\nA minimum of a grade 12 certificate\nAt least 2-7 years’ experience in Plant Operations and Engineering\nHolder of CE drivers license\nForklift driving certificate\nCompetency in seed processing operations, good conceptual and analytical thinking skills, problem-solving ability\nComputer skills (SAP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Windows)\nHighly self-motivated, innovative and have a proven project management record.\nStrong desire for personal development and professional growth at Bayer\nExcellent planning and organization skills\nStrong judgement and decision-making skills\nNetworking and relationship management skills\nResults orientation\nAs part of our commitment to inclusion, we want to ensure persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations.
