If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.\nWhat You Will Do\nThe Seed Production Technician is responsible for operating machinery and equipment for production process and, where applicable, manages our production grower network. They are also responsible for ensuring that production processes happen safely, effectively, and with quality in alignment with general procedures of the area. They are expected to mentor and train new employees, perform basic maintenance of equipment, and handle basic activities in Bayer systems (SAP and electronic networks).\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\nDemonstrate Visionary Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC) behaviors to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of products. \nOperate equipment and execute tasks to enable seed production processes. \nLead and engage in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings; articulate shift objectives and allocate resources across all active production areas. \nDemonstrate collaboration and teamwork in coaching/training seasonal workforce, area trainees, and peers; contribute to overall team success and the personal development of teammates. \nPerform preventative maintenance and inspections. \nTroubleshoot problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems. \nApply operational excellence practices to operations (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, 5WHYs). \nPerform Site Responsible Researcher (SRR)duties ensuring adherence to stewardship processes and protocols that are completed accurately and timely. This includes field monitoring, grower communication and accurate documentation. \nEnsure upstream activities (e.g., field inspection, grower contract) are handled within company standards and business requirements. \nCollaborate with key partners to deliver the business across plant and field operations. \nComply with internal procedures and support legal compliance related to area activities. \nDemonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards. \nSupport administrative procedures, documenting key readings, maintenance orders, and production information. \nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED;\nValid Drivers License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers - MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;\nAbility to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);\nAbility to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime asbusiness needs require.\nThis posting will expire on October 27th, 2026.\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary between $25.69- $32.28 per hour. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
