This individual will help to design, and implement back-end database-driven web systems to help improve operations and academic processes along with providing general IT support for the School.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain PHP-based web applications to improve departmental processes.\nDevelop user interfaces that are functional, intuitive, and accessible.\nTest and debug applications to ensure reliability, performance, and security.\nParticipate in project planning meetings with supervisor and IT Support staff.\nFollow institutional data security and privacy requirements when working with student and academic information.\nMaintain version control and software development best practices.\nProvide general IT support and troubleshooting when requested. \nEnsure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information and data.\nAssist with various projects, activities and tasks related to business operations\nAbility to comply with University policies\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrent student with demonstrated experience in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.\nSQL database design and querying.\nPHP, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage assigned tasks.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAttention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with MySQL, MariaDB, or Microsoft SQL Server.\nFamiliarity with database normalization and relational database concepts.\nExperience using Git or other version control systems.\nKnowledge of web application security principles.\nExperience developing applications in a Linux or Windows server environment.\nFamiliarity with API integration and data exchange formats such as JSON or XML.\nPrior experience working on
