This includes primarily assisting students with homework. Tutors are required to attend periodic meetings and professional trainings that will equip them to be more effective. Tutors are responsible for completing detailed service logs for each student that they work with.\nDuties and responsibilities\nCoordinate with CIS Volunteer Director on scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of tutoring services\nEstablish and maintain positive relationships with all students\nEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with CIS staff\nEnsure the CIS program objectives are implemented as outlined contractually\nMaintain a working knowledge of CIS and district policies and procedures\nMaintain complete and accurate documentation\nAttend meetings, trainings and other required functions of CIS\nOther duties as assigned\nExperience & Qualifications\nEnrolled in Baylor University and must be federal work study eligible.\nMust be Spanish speaking.\nStrong communication skills.\nExcellent organizational, time management and computer proficiency.\nWell-groomed and professional appearance.\nAbility to function in diverse job situation.\nAbility to transport oneself to and from the work site.\nMust complete and clear Criminal Background Check\nSpanish speaking a plus\nWork with local organization(s) or community partners\nProvide excellent customer service as a representative of the University\nMay assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs\nMay assist with various projects, activities or tasks
