Operation Services LimitedAbout the role\nWe are recruiting into our Solar Technical team, to support and carry out all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across a portfolio of utility scale solar assets.\nThis role will be home based but will require daily travel within region with occasional travel to other parts of the UK.\nWhat you will do\nYou will be required to understand the company's detailed obligations in respect of the Site/Lead Technician's assigned sites, and ensure, monitor and report on compliance with those obligations. \nYou required to have awareness of HSE issues, report any on site issue to the Regional Manager and HSE Manager and implement necessary measures to improve HSE. \nYou will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and corrective maintenance works (including HV maintenance) for solar plants to ensure the successful ongoing operation of the plants. \nYou will be responsible for taking primary on-site responsibility for plant performance, work quality and site appearance (both electrical, landscaping, and other). \nYou will be required to maintain regular contact with the Regional Manager and O&M coordinator to coordinate site works effectively and seek guidance where required. \nTogether with other Site Technicians you will be required to effectively resolve work tickets and report back any required information to the Asset Manager, O&M coordinator or Regional Manager (or other seniors where required) in a professional, complete and timely manner.\nYou will be responsible for liaising with internal and external parties such as in-house LV, HV and Ground maintenance teams, subcontractors and other third parties as required and directed. \nYou will be required to professionally and diligently undertake all required training and development. \nYou will be required to take part in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including bank holidays and weekend).\nWhat you’ll need to succeed\nC&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent.\nC&G BS7671 17th/18th edition.\nComputer literate.\nCan work under own initiative.\nTeam Player.\nFull UK Driving License.\nDesirable Attention to detail. \nDesirable: HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent and provide a personal switching log.\nDesirable: Qualifications or training in specific PV inverter technologies; Communications or networking qualifications; IOSH or NEBOSH.\nExperience working on ground mounted solar farms. \nWhat’s in it for you?\nPrivate Health Insurance.\nLife Assurance Cover.\nCompany Pension Scheme.\nFlexible Working Environment.\nYearly Discretionary Performance Bonus Scheme.\nExcellent Company Culture.\nMental Health First Aid support.\nEmployee Assistance Programme which provides all employees with 24/7 access to telephone and online counselling.\nAccess to an online benefits portal which includes travel and shopping discounts, healthy living advice & a financial well-being resource bank.\nCycle 2 Work Salary Sacrifice Scheme.\nElectric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme (eligibility after 12 months employment).\nBenefits can vary depending on the location and are not legally binding.\nAbout us\nBayWa r.e.
