Staff Engineers at Bazaarvoice lead software initiatives from conception to delivery, while driving engineering best practices and helping mentor talent.\nWho you are:\nBSc in Computer Science or equivalent (education or work based)\n7+ years of experience building and supporting scalable, distributed systems using open-source tools\nProven hands-on experience with Object Oriented programming languages and with at least 1 scripting language (ex. Java/C++/etc. and Python/Ruby/etc.)\nPrior technical leadership and/or mentorship experience\nExperience with Agile methodologies\nExperience with writing complex SQL queries (any dialect but PostgreSQL is a plus)\nExperience with some sort of API framework (ex. Spring Boot)\nExperience with public cloud hosting provider (AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, Azure or similar)\nExperience using modern build tools such as Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.\nExperience with Amazon Web Services a strong plus - CloudFormation, EMR, S3, EC2, Cloud Trail, etc.\nExperience with data visualization and analytics tools/frameworks (e.g., D3.js, Tableau, Looker, or similar) is a plus\nStrong analytical, technical, and communication (oral and written) skills\nSomeone committed to excellence.
