Through unique research and insights the StoryWorks Programme Partnerships team creates original commercial series for global brands that tell stories from organisations and industries to BBC.com audiences and beyond, looking deeper into the issues shaping society from organisations helping to lead change, delivering formidable results.\nPURPOSE OF THE ROLE\nJoin BBC Studios as a Senior Production Coordinator, providing expert production management support across a portfolio of productions from commissioning through to final delivery. Working closely with production teams, suppliers and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring productions are delivered on time, within budget and in line with BBC standards, while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and best practice across the production lifecycle.\nWHY JOIN THE TEAM\nThis is an opportunity to be at the heart of content delivery, supporting a diverse range of productions and collaborating with talented teams across BBC Studios. You'll have the chance to influence how productions operate, contribute to process improvements, develop others through knowledge sharing, and help deliver high-quality content that reaches audiences across multiple platforms.\nYOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:\nCoordinate multiple productions simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, budget control and compliance with BBC policies, frameworks and regulatory requirements.\nSupport production planning, scheduling, resource management and operational delivery, helping teams overcome challenges and maintain efficient workflows.\nMonitor production budgets, manage financial administration and supplier processes, ensuring accurate cost tracking and value for money.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, resolving issues and supporting successful delivery outcomes.\nAct as a source of expertise on production systems, processes and best practice, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and supporting colleagues' development through guidance and knowledge sharing.\nYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nESSENTIAL CRITERIA:\nProven experience in production coordination or production management, supporting multiple productions or projects within a fast-paced environment.\nStrong understanding of end-to-end production delivery, including planning, scheduling, operational coordination and meeting deadlines within budget.\nExperience managing production finances, including budgeting, forecasting, purchase orders, quotations and cost monitoring.\nExcellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to solve problems, improve processes, manage competing priorities and support colleagues through advice, guidance and knowledge sharing.\nDESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:\nExperience working within a broadcast, media or content production environment.\nKnowledge of accessibility and content delivery workflows, including subtitling, audio description or related services.\nExperience managing supplier relationships and supporting commercial decision-making.\nExperience coaching, mentoring or developing junior production colleagues.\nUnderstanding of sustainable production practices and initiatives that reduce environmental impact.\nIf you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.\nWe appreciate your interest in this position and understand how important this opportunity is to you.
