We’re looking for applicants who are inspired by our mission to promote scholarship, integrity, and kindness. We are proud to offer our drivers the following compensation and benefits:\nCompetitive hourly rate (same hourly rate for extra trips such as field trips, sporting events, and all other school activities requiring transportation).\n\nGuaranteed minimum of 25 hours per week during the academic year (likely to have consistent access to additional hours during the day, weekends, field trips, etc.).\n\nPaid Holidays, snow days, and accrued vacation time for hours worked.\n\nParticipation in our 403B retirement savings plan.\n\nLicense and DOT card maintenance fees covered.\n\nFree lunches when school is in session.\n\nParticipation in professional development days.\n\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\nOur Bus Drivers are an integral and respected part of the BB&N community and are committed to the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include:\nProviding safe transportation to and from school, field trips, sporting events, and all other activities requiring bus transportation.\n\nTransporting sports teams to/from various sporting events in the afternoons/evenings.\n\nTransporting faculty & staff between all campuses as needed.\n\nFollowing State and Federal traffic laws, including Registry of Motor Vehicles, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, School Committee, and local authorities, while operating the vehicle.\n\nAssisting passengers on/off the bus when necessary.\n\nPerforming daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by BB&N standards and state guidelines.\n\nReporting all observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.\n\nMaintaining a clean vehicle and timely reporting of maintenance issues.\n\nOther Responsibilities as assigned.\n\nRequirements, Skills, and Competencies:\nThe ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of driving experience and:\nMust be 21 years of age or older.\n\nU.S. citizens or Non-Domiciled CDL holders who are Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders), H-2A (Temporary Agricultural Workers), H-2B (Temporary Non-Agricultural Workers), or E-2 (Treaty Investors).\n\nPossess a valid Massachusetts State driver’s license for at least three (3) consecutive years and a minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience in good standing.\n\nPossess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with both Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements.\n\nPossess a valid school bus license and all required documentation to drive a yellow school bus.\n\nPossess a valid DOT medical card and a current First Aid/CPR certification.\n\nHave a School Bus Certification or Permit.\n\nHave good communication skills; able to converse in English with children, parents, and staff.\n\nPossess good judgment, attendance, and reliability.\n\nUndergo a successful background check (CORI & SORI).\n\nAvailable to be on campus on short notice for emergencies and other unforeseen facility needs.\n\nBe flexible to work overtime, including weekends and evenings, to support school events.\n\nSalary:$35.00 - $37.65\nFor Academic Year 2026-2027, BB&N will implement a sign-on bonus of $2,000.00 for fully licensed bus drivers:\n$2,000 sign-on bonus, which will be paid in 2 parts:\n$1,000 at the end of 3 months\n\n$1,000 at the end of 12 months\n\nCompensation for eligible full-time and part-time employees includes a 403(b) plan with up to a 10% match of salary and other competitive benefits offerings.
