The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, or cloud infrastructure management, and a minimum of 3 years of direct responsibility for managing andoptimizingspendingwithin Microsoft Azure environments. In this role, you will bridge the gap between Finance, Compliance, and Cloud Engineering and Operations, serving as a partner in cloud cost optimization, allocation, and governance. You will work toidentifycost-saving opportunities, implement financial guardrails,maintaina tag-based governance, and build actionable reporting to drive financial accountability across our cloud footprint.\nHow You Will Contribute:\nCost Reduction Strategies:\nMonitor daily Azure cloud usage toidentifywaste, unattached resources, over-provisioned infrastructure, and orphaned instances.\n\nRecommend andmaintainthe execution of savings initiatives, including Azure Reservations (RI), Savings Plans, Rightsizing, Smart tiering, and Hybrid Benefit options.\n\nEstablish automated cost alert thresholds and investigate unexpected spend spikes to minimize operational variance.\n\nDesign andmaintainoperational dashboards using Azure Cost Management and Power BI.\n\nMaintain and refine cloud cost allocation models (via resource tagging, subscription boundaries, and management groups) to ensureaccuratecross-departmental chargebacks.\n\nCollaborate with IT and Finance to develop quarterly cloud spend forecasts and track variance against approved budgets.\n\nGovernance & Engineering Collaboration\nWork closely with Cloud Architects, Engineers, Product / Development / Application, and Finance on unified cost savings initiatives.\n\nEnsure resource tagging standards are enforced and continuously improved.\n\nProven ability to develop andmaintainshow backand chargeback models that provide transparent cloud cost reporting and financial accountability across business units.\n\nExperience working within formal Change Control and Change Management processes in enterprise environments.\n\nReview new cloud solutions tovalidatealignment with FinOps and governance standards.\n\nParticipate in cloud design and architecture reviews toidentifycost optimization opportunities early in the lifecycle.\n\nLicenses & Certifications:\nRelevant Azure certifications preferred, such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and FinOps Certified Practitioner.\n\nSkills & Experience to be Successful:\n3+ years of hands-on Cloud FinOps experience.\n\n5+ years overall experience in cloud operations or cloud infrastructure management.\n\nDirect responsibility over cloudspendsmanagement, cost optimization, and FinOps governance functions.\n\nExperience evaluating, implementing, and administering FinOps and cloud cost management tools such as Azure Cost Management, IBM ApptioCloudability, Azure Advisor, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience designing and managing cloud cost allocation frameworks using resource tagging, subscriptions, management groups, and cost-center mappings.\n\nExperience with Azure Policy.\n\nExperience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.\n\nAdvanced Excel and data analysisskills.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cost management.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.\n\nExperience working within regulated or compliance-driven enterprise environments.\n\nPreferred\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.\n\nExperience with cost analysis tools such as Azure Cost Management + Azure Advisor or IBM ApptioCloudability.\n\nExperience with mergers & acquisitions involving cloud infrastructure integration.\n\nTeammate Benefits & Total Well-Being\nWe go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:\nHealth Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance \nFinancial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement \nMental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services\nBeyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more. \nNot reflective of all benefits.
