You’ll also play a critical role in troubleshooting complex technical issues, designing disaster recovery solutions, and researching new technologies to ensure BCAA’s infrastructure aligns with best practices and operational needs.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a technical expert who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments and is committed to delivering value-driven automation and infrastructure services.\nWho you are:\nYou are a skilled IT professional with expertise in hybrid environments and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.\n\nYou have a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, system administration, and networking.\n\nYou are highly analytical, proactive, and capable of solving complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.\n\nYou thrive in collaborative, agile teams and enjoy contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.\n\nYou are detail-oriented, with excellent documentation skills and a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, build, and support redundant systems, disaster recovery policies, and data archiving solutions to protect data assets.\n\nManage and automate workloads in cloud environments, utilizing AWS cloud technologies and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.\n\nImplement and maintain security, identity, and access management solutions, including AWS IAM and Azure SSO.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents across all environments, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.\n\nOversee and support multi-tier architectures, including load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.\n\nPlan, deploy, and maintain Azure/AWS systems to meet operational and project requirements.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for design strategies that leverage emerging technologies, frameworks, and processes.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) implementations.\n\nConduct research and provide recommendations on new technologies and standards to support procurement and development efforts.\n\nDevelop and maintain high-quality documentation to ensure clear communication of technical solutions and processes.\n\nWhat you bring:\nAssociate’s, Bachelor’s, or Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.\n\n7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years of system administration in Windows/Linux environments.\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS systems administration or engineering.\n\nExpertise in Windows System Administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.\n\nProficiency with infrastructure technologies, such as VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp, and networking/security best practices.\n\nTechnical experience with AWS cloud services (e.g.,EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) and Azure/O365 platform services (e.g., Conditional Access, Identity Services).\n\nExperience implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills with tools like PowerShell and Python.\n\nKnowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).\n\nBonus Skills!\n\nRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred.\n\nThe salary range for this position is $100,306.20 to $125,382.84 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.\nPlease note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days).
