This role will work to define development tasks, ensure delivery schedules and timelines are met, and ensure compliance with the organizations policies and procedures. This opportunity is full-time with BCC and it is on-site in Bethesda/Rockville, Maryland.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nManage the efforts of the product’s software development team in an Agile framework\nProvide work estimates for development tasks\nEnsure on-schedule delivery of software solutions for the product line and organization\nManage the development lifecycle of software for assigned products\nResearch new technologies in pursuit of advancing the goals of the product line\nDirect and coordinate the actions of the development team\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to the development team\nAct as a liaison between the development team and program leadership\nCreate and maintain technical documentation related to the product line\nEnsure high code quality for software development tasks\nRequirements:\nSoftware development experience in a Linux environment (5+ Years)\nExperience working with Cloud data storage and processing platforms (AWS, GCP)\nProficiency with Django in a DevOps environment\nStrong proficiency in Python\nProficiency working with MS SQL and Postgres databases\nAbility to work with common structured documents (XML, JSON, CSV)\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, unit tests, integration, and regression testing\nStrong presentation and collaboration skills\nExperience coaching team members\nQualifications\nA proven track record of managing an Agile software development team\nExperience working with highly available, high traffic web applications\nThe ability to translate business requirements into executable software development tasks\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nBenefits and Salary\nWe attract the best people in the business with our competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k plan with employer contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement.\nWe offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and location.
