This role is central to BCG's global financial close, consolidation, and reporting cycle, and serves as a subject matter expert on technical accounting topics while driving AI-enabled process improvements.\nThe GAC team's core responsibilities include:\nServing as the global controllership function for BCG - owning, authoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures across all regions and offices worldwide.\nConsolidating and reporting BCG's financial information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis across management and US GAAP financial statements.\nEstablishing and maintaining authoritative accounting policies, ensuring consistent application and compliance by finance teams globally.\nSupporting finance teams on technical accounting matters to produce high-quality financial data for organizational decision-makers.\nFinancial Reporting & Close\nSupport the global month-end close process, working with affiliate offices to ensure timely and accurate ledger submissions for monthly management and US GAAP reporting.\nLeverage AI tools to consolidate and transform financial results into standardized, leadership-ready reporting formats for distribution across the organization.\nPerform quarterly US GAAP financial reporting and analyses, compliance checks, and reconciliations for BCG’s consolidation US GAAP reporting requirements\nReview affiliate reporting packages and entity financial statements for policy compliance, escalating items requiring Global Director approval.\nLead the preparation of the global year-end close process memo and supporting appendices, providing global offices with clear guidance on deadlines, procedures, and key accounting policy requirements to ensure consistent and accurate year-end submissions.\nManage the annual consolidated financial statement audit process, providing end-to-end oversight, documentation, and support to external auditors.\nAI, Reporting & Process Improvement\nLeverage AI and automation tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Power BI, Power Automate) to streamline and automate recurring reconciliations, period-end close workflows, and reporting tasks, reducing cycle time and error risks.\nCreate and implement AI-driven solutions to review SAP-based results submitted by local offices, automatically identifying inconsistencies, outliers, and exceptions for follow-up.\nUse AI-driven analysis to proactively flag variances in consolidated financial data; identify and lead broader process improvement initiatives across the close and reporting cycles.\nChampion AI adoption and automation efforts within the team; develop training and governance frameworks for responsible AI use in financial reporting.\nLeadership & Collaboration\nManage, coach, and develop junior team members through day-to-day responsibilities and critical close periods.\nPartner with local office finance teams, Treasury, Tax, Risk, Finance Systems, and external auditors on accounting matters and transformation projects.\nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CA designation required; Master's degree or MBA a plus.\n6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including extensive US GAAP reporting; prior experience at a large public accounting firm required.\nExperience at a large multinational company in a multi-currency environment preferred\nDemonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports.\nTechnical & Digital Skills\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and IFRS-based statutory accounting frameworks.\nExperience with SAP accounting systems (S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP Group Reporting); proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).\nFamiliarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for financial reporting and analysis; ability to evaluate and scale AI-driven process improvements.\nExperience with data analysis and reporting tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power Query, Python, Power BI, Power Automate) a plus.\nCompetencies\nAbility to operate at both strategic and detailed levels; sound analytical thinking with strong judgment on complex accounting matters.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership, peer groups, and third-party service providers.\nStrong organizational skills, work ethic, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.\nWho You'll Work With\nYou will collaborate with team members globally, including regional and local office finance teams, Treasury, Tax, Global Field Operations, Risk, Finance Systems, external auditors, and finance transformation project teams.\nAdditional info\n*** For US locations only ***\nIn the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.\nTotal compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.\nThe base salary range for this role in Boston is $108,000.00 - $133,340.00\n\nThis is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range.
