As a Global IT Platform Engineer Manager, you will bring deep technical expertise to the platforms and services that enable engineers to focus on solving complex client problems.\nYou will drive the organization’s AI enablement initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered solutions, with Generative AI as a key strategic focus area. Alongside this work, you will lead complex platform initiatives, help resolve escalated technical challenges, and partner across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to improve the reliability, security, and adoption of our developer ecosystem.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDrive AI enablement initiatives, designing and delivering practical Generative AI solutions for engineering teams.\nLead the evolution of critical developer platforms, including GitHub Enterprise, JFrog Artifactory, and Gurobi.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and shape recommendations based on engineering needs, risk, scalability, and business impact.\nLead resolution of complex platform, infrastructure, and security challenges across Windows and Linux environments.\nIdentify platform risks and dependencies, working across teams to develop and implement appropriate mitigation plans.\nImprove engineering productivity through automation, self-service capabilities, and low-code and no-code platforms.\nPartner across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to align priorities and deliver complex platform initiatives.\nTransfer technical knowledge through documentation, training, mentoring, and guidance that enables teams to work more independently.\nWhat You'll Bring\nDeep expertise in GitHub Enterprise, including Copilot, Actions, Codespaces, and developer security tooling.\nStrong experience administering JFrog Artifactory, including Xray, Projects, repositories, and storage governance.\nDemonstrated experience managing Gurobi Optimizer environments and supporting on-premises compute infrastructure.\nStrong Windows and Linux expertise, including platform administration, automation, networking, and security.\nProficiency in Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages to automate complex operational workflows.\nExperience evaluating and applying AI technologies, including Generative AI, to practical engineering challenges.\nAbility to lead complex technical work, resolve escalated issues, and transfer expertise across diverse teams.\nWho You'll Work With\nYou’ll be part of the Engineering Toolkit Squad within the Platform Experience Portfolio in the Enterprise Platforms and Engineering organization at Tech@BCG. The squad enables BCG X and the broader consulting business with secure, scalable engineering platforms and capabilities.\nYou’ll work closely with engineers, case teams, infrastructure teams, and business partners across BCG. You’ll bring technical expertise to complex challenges, build alignment across teams, and help colleagues adopt AI-powered and developer technologies effectively.
