We enable global technology for BCG’s People Function, including Recruiting; Talent Management (Staffing, Mobility & Career Development); L&D; and Core HR (including Workday, Compensation and Benefits).\nWe are seeking a Global Quality Engineer Manager to lead quality engineering execution for our Vendor Management System (VMS) products. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of enterprise SaaS applications through effective manual and automated testing.\nYou will:\nLead and mentor quality engineers across manual and automated testing, providing technical guidance, coaching, and quality oversight.\nDevelop and execute test strategies for the VMS product/platform, aligned with established quality engineering standards.\nRemain hands-on with test automation, contributing to framework development, implementation, and code reviews.\nDrive automation initiatives to improve test coverage, efficiency, reliability, and release confidence.\nEnsure comprehensive testing of VMS workflows, business rules, APIs, integrations, databases, and backend services.\nPartner with product owners, business analysts, and engineers to translate requirements into effective test scenarios, including negative, boundary, integration, and edge cases.\nCollaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous testing.\nLead defect triage and root cause analysis for complex or recurring issues and work with engineering teams on preventive actions.\nTrack and report quality metrics, including defect trends, test coverage, automation coverage, and defect leakage, to identify risks and improvement opportunities.\nProvide quality assessments and recommendations to support release readiness and release decisions.\nRecommend and adopt appropriate testing tools and technologies to improve quality engineering effectiveness.\nDrive adoption of established QA practices and foster a quality-first culture within the VMS team.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Experience:\n8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.\nExperience leading or technically guiding QA/Quality Engineering teams and mentoring engineers.\nStrong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks.\nExperience testing SaaS-based enterprise products, preferably multi-tenant and cloud-native applications.\nExperience testing workflow-driven enterprise platforms such as Vendor Management, Procurement, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), HR, or similar business applications.\nExperience across functional, integration, regression, API, UI, end-to-end, and data validation testing.\nExperience working with APIs, databases, backend services, and enterprise system integrations.\nExperience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed, cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience testing SaaS-based Vendor Management or Procurement platforms such as SAP Fieldglass, Coupa, or similar enterprise workflow applications.\nExperience with performance and load testing.\nExposure to AI-enabled testing tools or applications of AI within Quality Engineering.\nKey Skills\nStrong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, Agile testing practices, and Quality Engineering principles.\nHands-on expertise with Playwright (preferred) or Selenium.\nExperience with automation approaches such as Page Object Model (POM), Hybrid, and Data-Driven frameworks.\nProficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python for automation scripting.\nExperience with API testing using Postman;
