The Quality Engineering Intern will support the Quality team in ensuring that playground products meet company and customer standards for safety, performance, and appearance. It requires hard work, a lot of innovation and enthusiasm and, of course, an abundance of Purple Passion (def. a love of play, bringing play to communities and specific love of Burke and those you work with)!\nThe Role\nPrepares and updates Process Instructions, Forms, and Procedures to support Manufacturing, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering Team:\nCreating/editing process flows using Visio as directed by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality\nCreating/editing process procedures and instructions using Word as directed by Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality\nCreating/editing Hazard Assessments and Lockout Tagout instructions as directed by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Manager.\nCreating/editing audit forms and methods using Word or other applications\nCreating, updating, or inspecting using basic Romer Arm Programs:\nUsing Polyworks and/or V-Tube create/edit programs based on drawings and CAD models to support Manufacturing and New Product or Revision inspections under the direction of Quality or Manufacturing Engineering\nInspection:\nInspect incoming supplied products according to sampling plans and drawing requirements.\nInspect new products and production products to support the product development cycle.\nAssist in containment isolation and inspection of suspect products.\nCommunicates directly with Internal Customers by\nBeing articulate & friendly.\nUsing proper phone etiquette and Teams, and e-mail communication to resolve issues and answer questions that arise regarding the specifications and requests for support.\nContributes to Team Effort by\nPerforming other duties as assigned\nTeamwork\nWe have an awesome team at Burke and the right individual for this role will fit well within our culture of teamwork, straightforward and open communication. Not all the time…but sometimes.\nQualifications That Move Us!\nActively pursuing Associate's, or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from college or technical school in a related field; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nMust have a portfolio to highlight relevant work or educational experience.\nMust have knowledge of CAD software and modeling.\nMust have a functional understanding of Microsoft Office software.\nHigh Math Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
