Use your communications and storytelling skills and make a real impact. The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is currently seeking an Employee Communications Co-op/Intern for the Winter 2027 work term (January to April) to join the Employee Communications team in our Global Communications Department, supporting the development and execution of internal communications strategies, events, and content that helps tell the story of BCI to its growing employee base. Be a part of the work we do, generating more than returns, and creating real possibilities for the people and communities our clients serve.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

We invest globally to support pension and other funds for more than 30 clients based in British Columbia. We are proud to have been chosen as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and BC’s Top Employers. These national and provincial competitions recognize employers who offer exceptional workplaces for their employees.

The Employee Communications Co-op/Intern will work within our Employee Communications team, part of BCI’s Global Communications Department. Our team partners with Human Resources, Technology, Finance, Legal, Corporate Risk and Audit, and Investment Operations to support their communications needs and build a strong, strategic yet conversational narrative for employees, clients, and the public.

We keep all audiences in mind. We even support employee and client events like Town Halls. Across every channel, we aim to present information in a compelling, succinct way that informs, inspires, clarifies, recognizes, and builds a shared understanding of BCI, creating pride and commitment among employees and awareness externally.

The team produces strategic content in a variety of formats for BCI's growing employee base, including written, audio, video, and visual content.
