As we expand our presence, BCI remains dedicated to innovation, excellence, and women's empowerment through fashion.\nAbout this Role:\nResearching, sourcing, allocating, and developing fabric based on seasonal design concepts, trends and request. Will report to the Director of Fabric R&D to support private label brands. Collaborating with design, sales and production to ensure a thoughtful approach to sourcing new brand right fabrics and establishing a preferred supplier matrix.\nResponsibilities:\nSource new seasonal and core fabrics for private label brands that meet designs vision and company strategy. \nTranslate design concepts into commercialized materials at the appropriate price point. \nFollow up with design, production, mills and vendors on outstanding fabric sourcing to ensure on time delivery. \nCreate and maintain Fabric sample orders using PLM.\nProactively track lab dips and strike offs and report status regularly to design team to meet calendar deadlines. \nMonitor all calendar milestones to ensure all deadlines are met.\nOwn all seasonal proto and sample yardage requests, working directly will fabric mills and allocating yardage to factories.\n Attend local fabric shows to source new suppliers and develop mill relationships that fit into companies sourcing strategy.\nActively look to build new supplier relationships will mills outside of China. \nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in textiles and/or fabric management\nProficient in PLM system, experience with Centric a plus\nAssociates or higher degree required.\nStrong knowledge of fabric construction, finishing, washing with an emphasis in knits and wovens.\nHigh attention to detail and ability to clearly articulate goals and objective with strong follow-through.\nUnderstanding of raw material and apparel testing.\nMust have proactive attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong written and verbal communication. \nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nStrong problem-solving skills; able to proactively recommend solutions.\nOrganized and detail-oriented.\nHighly motivated, ability to prioritize workflow, and have good time management skills.\nGood mill contacts and relationships. \nEnthusiastic and team-oriented.\nThe salary range for this full time role depends on experience between $85,000 $100,000.\nBenefits\nHealth Benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nLife Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account\n401k Program\nPaid Time Off\nRobust Holiday Schedule\nCommuter Benefits\nTraining & Development\nGrowth Opportunities!
