Based in Vancouver and reporting to the Director of Ground Engineering, this dual role combines people leadership with senior geotechnical expertise, providing an opportunity to drive growth, technical excellence, and project success across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects.\nYou will join a large, dynamic team of geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, project coordinators, and project managers supporting projects in the Municipal Utility, Transportation, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, and Industrial sectors. As Group Manager, you will play a key role in building our Ground Engineering practice and creating lasting impact for clients, communities, and colleagues.\nYour Impact\nLead the operational performance, growth, and delivery excellence of a Ground Engineering team.\nChampion safety (HSE), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Ethics & Compliance to foster a strong and inclusive culture.\nManage technical professionals, project delivery teams, and business operations while supporting career and technical development.\nDrive regional growth by strengthening client relationships and supporting financial performance objectives.\nMentor and develop team members through technical guidance, coaching, and leadership.\nPartner with senior leaders on business development activities, including proposals, client engagement, and project positioning.\nProvide senior-level geotechnical review, technical advice, and quality oversight for project deliverables.\nManage projects from proposal through implementation, including contract review, financial management, delivery oversight, and client relationship management.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nUndergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geoscience, or another related technical discipline.\n8 to 15 years of consulting experience with a focus on geotechnical projects.\nProfessional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.\nDemonstrated experience leading teams, including performance management, coaching, and employee development.\nStrong health and safety leadership and commitment to operational excellence.\nProven ability to prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.\nExperience with strategic planning, business growth initiatives, forecasting, and budgeting.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and build strong cross-disciplinary partnerships.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
