Data models, system boundaries, and what not to build are now where the real engineering happens. We're looking for someone who already thinks this way.\nThe problems\nData at scale. We ingest marketing and advertising data from many third-party platforms, each with its own quirks, rate limits, and occasional nonsense. Making that data trustworthy, fast to query, and cheap to store is an ongoing architectural challenge, not a solved one.\nIntegrations that persist. Third-party APIs change without warning. We need designs that absorb that churn gracefully.\nData with integrity. Our customers trust us to help make real budget decisions. The product has to earn their trust with accuracy, and intelligibility.\nA codebase that agents and humans can both work in well. Conventions, types, tests, and context that let us move fast without losing the plot.\nHow we work\nYou'll use agentic tools, like Claude Code, Cursor, and/or Codex, as a core part of your workflow, and help decide how the whole team uses them.\nYou own what you ship, end to end, regardless of who or what wrote the lines.\nWritten thinking comes first. Specs and design notes are real work here, not paperwork. We're async-friendly across IST and EST.\nYou'll work directly with our technical CTO. Architecture decisions are discussed on their merits, not decided by title.\nOur stack is TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Node/Express, GO, Rust, React, Redis, Kafka, DuckDB, and AWS/DigitalOcean.\nSix months in, you'll have\nShipped features customers use, from the first conversation through to production.\nMade at least one architectural decision that made a whole class of future work easier.\nLeft the codebase more legible and easier for both humans and agents to work in than you found it.\nChanged at least one of our practices for the better.\nYou'll likely thrive here if\nYou've owned production systems and can explain the tradeoffs behind your decisions, including the ones you'd make differently now.\nYou use coding agents heavily and have strong opinions about where they fail.\nYou read code critically, and plausible-looking code makes you more suspicious, not less.\nYou care about data modeling and know that a bad schema outlives every other mistake.\nYou'd rather delete a feature than maintain a bad one.\nExperience with marketing tech, ad platforms, or analytics is a real advantage, because domain judgment is exceptionally valuable.\nYou probably won't enjoy it here if\nYou prefer detailed specs handed to you over shaping the problem yourself.\nYou measure your contribution in lines of code.\nYou want to avoid AI tools, or you'd accept their output without checking it.\nThe details\nFull-time (40 hours/week), remote or hybrid, working hours aligned to either IST (Sri Lanka) or EST (Canada/US).\nOur application process\nHiring is run entirely by our founders, because we care deeply about who joins our team.
