Join our growing team supporting the government agencies in its mission as a\nCybersecurity Analyst in\nMcLean, Virginia.\nResponsibilities\nWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working within a Cyber Incident Response Team, Security Operations Center, or a similar cybersecurity role. This position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. This position does require shift work, including some evenings, nights and weekends.\nKey Responsibilities:\nUtilize SIEM systems, network security tools, and log analysis tools to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats.\n\nApply knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and security technologies to safeguard organizational assets.\n\nLeverage the Mitre ATT&CK framework and best practices in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security incident response.\n\nSolve complex problems with analytical and problem-solving skills, paying close attention to detail.\n\nCommunicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing, to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI with required polygraph\n1+ years' experience in working within a Cyber Incident Response Team, Security Operations Center other Cybersecurity position.\nExperience with using SIEM systems, network security tools, and log analysis tools.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, incident detection, analysis, and response methodologies.\nKnowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and security technologies.\nKnowledge of the Mitre ATT&CK framework.\nAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT-II certification within 6 months of starting position.\nWhat you can expect from us\nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $120,000 - $179,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
