Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Linux Engineer in Herndon, Virginia.\nResponsibilities\nDuties to Include but not limited to:\nPerform systems engineering and software development in multiple large enterprise server environments (e.g., Linux, Red Hat, and Rocky OS)\nProvide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.\nDevelop and maintain scripts and tools to automate Linux system administrative tasks\nEnsure Linux systems are configured to meet security and compliance requirements\nAnalyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.\nPrepare required documentation (program-level and user-level)\nAssist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.\nSupport the customer in the development and maintenance of systems baseline.\nAssess server loads and work with technical leads to develop tuning recommendations.\nAdditional duties, as assigned.\nO&M duties include:\nProvide operational pager/phone duty support.\nComplete day-to-day Operations & Maintenance tasks\nPerform operating system software updates, upgrades and patches.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust have Bachelors degree and 11+ years of relevant experience. We are looking for an Expert Linux Systems Engineer with a background utilizing the following:\nLinux experience, including Red Hat and its derivatives (RHEL, RockyOS).\nExperience in shell (BASH) scripting and manipulating the Linux command line.\nExperience providing Linux Administration (O&M) support\nExperience providing Linux Engineering and Infrastructure support\nExperience with configuration management software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation)\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with Python\nExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), CloudFormation, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud\nExperience with cloud computing, including PaaS, IaaS and SaaS\nExperience with CaaS (e.g., Kubernetes and OpenShift)\nWhat you can expect from us\nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $175,000 - 200,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
