Join our growing team as a Senior System Administrator (College Support), supporting the NGA customer mission.\nResponsibilities\nWhat you get to do every day: As a System Administrator (College Desktop Support), you will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to NGA College end-users, maintaining desktop systems, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems. You will work closely with both on-site and remote users to resolve issues, coordinate upgrades, and provide hands-on support for desktop environments. In this role, a typical day will include:\nServe as an NGA College Liaison for all NGA events involving UDS IT equipment and/or requiring UDS support. Facilitate meetings and engage regularly with customers and members of senior leadership to: address IT related questions or concerns; coordinate and plan emerging customer requirements and classes; and provide situational awareness to NGA College stakeholders concerning upcoming maintenance of IT systems or technology refresh efforts associated with systems installed in NGA College classrooms and spaces.\nIndependently develops technical solutions for the management for software, hardware, configurations, and architecture. Provides interpretation to Systems matters that are moderately complex in nature.\nProvide troubleshooting support for systems hardware and software issues that are highly complex.\nPerforms advance software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.\nApply advanced knowledge in monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.\nProvides guidance to less experienced personnel on workstation/server data integrity matters and the implantation of standard software and hardware solutions.\nLeads complex data/media recoverability following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.\nEvaluates and assesses existing systems and plans long term strategies.\nConfigure and maintain networked computer systems, including hardware, system software, and applications.\nConducts advanced to complex hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and configurations guidelines.\nRecognized subject matter expert in job area typically through advanced education and work experience. Established operational plans. Manages large projects with limited oversight from manager.\nInventory management of UDS deployed software and end user devices.\nUtilize Cisco TMS to facilitate VTC calls.\nStrong written and verbal communication is imperative when dealing with technically minded employees and non-technical colleagues.\nTrain end-users in the proper use of hardware and software. May train large groups of end users.\nMay coach and review the work of less experienced professionals.\nMay serve as a team or task leader (Not a people manager).\nMay require after-hours support or weekend support for mission, program and special project support.\n\nQualifications\nClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly\nCertification Required: Security+ or CASP and ITIL v4 Foundations\nEducation/Experience:\nRequires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience\n8+ years of experience\nRequired Skills:\nKnowledge in one or more of the following areas:\nThin Client using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Technology.\nExperience and/or knowledgeable with: Windows 7; Windows 10; Win11; Citrix; SMS; and SCCM.\nEnd User Hardware: Thin Client, Thick Monitors, KVM's, Printers, Plotters, Print Server Configurations, VOIP phone.\nDesktop Image Management.\nHome Directory and Profile Support Services.\nE-mail Support Services.\nSoftware Support Services.\n\nExcellent troubleshooting capabilities.\nStrong communication skills.\nStrong work ethic and attention to detail.\nStrong writing skills (consistently document work completed).\nStrong time management skills and ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements.\nAbility to move and lift computers, printers, monitors, and other hardware.\nTeam player and willing to share knowledge and learn from others to ensure team's success.\nEnthusiasm and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies.\nWhat is ideal?\nIntelligence Community Experience preferred\nWhat you can expect from us\nRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonuses\nYou’ll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence community \nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $104,000-$125,000.
