Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a SME Unified Communications Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia.\nResponsibilities\nThe individual selected for this position will support the customer's organization that provides video engineering services on a global scale. The enterprise supports a carrier class WAN, complex and diverse campus. This position will provide systems/ network engineering support to the customer's mission partners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nDesigns and plans network communications systems\nProvides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture\nConducts testing of network designs\nResponsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options\nPlans implementation of enhancement and upgrades to the network\nAdvises network users of hardware requirements, configurations and limitations\nMaintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateway etc.\nEvaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nA minimum of sixteen (16) years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.\n\nExperience operating Cisco UC system components including:\nCisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM)\n\nCisco Unified Border Element (UBE)\n\nCisco ExpressWay or Tandberg Video Communications Server (VCS)\n\nCisco Meeting Server (MS) or Acano Media Gateways\n\nCisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP)\n\nCisco Unified Computing System (UCS)\n\nCisco Jabber software client\n\nExperience operating VMWare ESXi hypervisor servers\n\nDesired Qualifications\nKnowledge of theory and practice underlying LAN/ WAN network operations\nKnowledge of communications and information security policies and practices\nKnowledge of multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways etc.\nWhat you can expect from us\nBCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
