Description\nThe Mid-Level Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications within the airline industry.\nThis role involves performing both manual and automated testing, developing and maintaining test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.\nThe Mid-Level QA Engineer will contribute to improving QA processes and testing practices, assist in troubleshooting software issues, and support the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business and airline-specific requirements.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.\nSolid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect management.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nGood understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).\nExperience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product teams.\nExperience in the airline, travel, or aviation domain is an advantage, particularly exposure to reservation, ticketing, or airline operations systems.\nTechnical Skills\nHands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.\nExperience with API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.\nGood understanding of manual testing techniques, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.\nBasic to intermediate knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.\nExperience with Git or other version control systems.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs is a plus.\nBasic scripting/programming knowledge in Java, Python, Groovy, or similar languages for test automation.\nAbility to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear and actionable feedback to development teams.\nExperience in creating and maintaining test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and test documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.\nExperience testing web and/or mobile applications.\nExperience with API automation and integration testing.\nExposure to security testing practices.\nExperience working with airline, travel, aviation, or other transaction-intensive systems.\nKnowledge of airline systems such as reservation, booking, ticketing, or passenger service systems is highly desirable.\nExposure to DevOps practices and automated testing within CI/CD
