Working under the guidance of senior BI resources, the role gathers reporting requirements, prepares and validates data, develops visualizations, resolves basic defects and maintains supporting documentation. The position contributes to reliable operational reporting and continuous improvement while complying with approved data, security and development standards.\nKey Deliverables / Primary Functions\n\nRequirements Support: Assist with gathering, documenting and clarifying reporting and dashboard requirements.\n\nReport and Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain standard reports, dashboards and visualizations using approved BI tools and templates.\n\nData Preparation: Extract, transform, clean and organize data from approved sources for reporting and analysis.\n\nData Quality Validation: Perform data checks, reconcile report outputs and escalate material data quality or definition issues.\n\nTesting and Defect Resolution: Execute unit and functional tests, record evidence and correct basic report or dashboard defects.\n\nBI Support: Provide first-line support for assigned BI solutions, investigate incidents and refer complex issues to senior team members.\n\nDocumentation: Maintain report specifications, data definitions, test records, user guidance and change documentation.\n\nContinuous Learning: Build technical capability in BI development, data modelling, SQL and visualization through coaching, training and practical delivery.\nCore Functional Skills & Capabilities\nAnalytical and Problem Solving\nAttention to detail\nCommunication\nProject Management\nData Analysis\nCore Behavioural Competencies\nJob Match\nPresenting and Communicating information\nAnalysing\nRelating and Networking\nDelivering Results & Meeting customer expectations\nAchieving personal work goals & objectives\nMinimum Qualifications\nNQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science\nNQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma\nAdditional Education -Preferred /Advantage\nExperience\n3 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, SQL or dashboard development.
