It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nSummary:\nThe Associate Director of R&D will serve as a technical leader for new product development within the Infusion business.\nResponsibilities\nWill act as the technical leader for complex infusion systems, monitoring technologies, and integrated clinical solutions, with responsibility for significant portions of the product development effort.\nWill provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary engineering efforts spanning hardware, software, systems, data integration, and collaborate closely with the monitoring technologies.\nWill define technical architectures and product strategies that support the evolution of infusion systems and associated monitoring capabilities.\nWill collaborate with clinical, product management, regulatory, quality, and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions that address evolving customer and patient needs.\nWill provide technical leadership, direct and indirect reports, with the ability to deep dive into technical issues. \nWill Implement best-in-class R&D tools, processes & standards within the development platform. \nWill create Product Development goals which are linked with business priorities and traced to individual engineering responsibilities. \nWill drive and lead innovative problem resolution at an accelerated pace. \nWill work in a development environment which supports both organic and inorganic development opportunities \nWill lead and work with Functional Leaders to assign engineering disciplines to achieve platform goals. \nWill work with other leaders to mentor, develop and manage performance of talent assigned to the platform. \nWill to plan and administer yearly platform budget to ensure proper execution of deliverables as aligned to business strategy \nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor of Science in an engineering field (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Electrical, Biomedical, Software). \n10 years of growing responsibility in R&D technical engineering roles with experience in product development. \nUnderstanding of quality management systems \nRegulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc). \nExperience with design for manufacturing, process validation and design transfer \nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, software, systems, and product development functions.\nProject management experience for sophisticated systems. \nExperience in a proven design process (e.g. DFSS) over multiple programs. \nPreferred Skills/Knowledge:\nMaster's degree or PhD (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Electrical, Biomedical, Software Engineering, or related discipline) with extensive product development experience.\nExperience with patient monitoring technologies, physiological sensing systems, or clinical decision-support capabilities.\nExperience developing integrated medical device systems involving software, data, analytics, or intelligent monitoring solutions.\nIn-depth FDA and regulated medical device experience.\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
