This role drives the deployment and sustainability of the BD Excellence Management System by utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, problem-solving methodologies, and operational excellence tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.\nThis position serves as a change agent, coach, and facilitator, partnering with site leadership and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, eliminate waste, standardize processes, and drive a culture of continuous improvement aligned with BD's strategic objectives.\nBD Excellence Deployment\nLead and support implementation of BD Excellence strategies, standards, and best practices across the site.\n\nFacilitate BDEX maturity assessments and support action plans to close identified gaps.\n\nPromote a continuous improvement culture throughout all levels of the organization.\n\nSupport the integration of BDEX principles into daily management systems.\n\nContinuous Improvement Leadership\nLead Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping activities, and Lean projects.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and operational performance.\n\nFacilitate cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.\n\nDrive waste elimination efforts focused on safety, quality, inventory, motion, transportation, waiting, overproduction, and defects.\n\nOperational Performance\nAnalyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\n\nDevelop performance dashboards and visual management systems.\n\nSupport achievement of site goals related to safety, quality, service, cost, and inventory.\n\nMonitor project performance and ensure realization of targeted benefits.\n\nCoaching and Training\nTrain associates, supervisors, managers, and site leaders on Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving methodologies, and BD Excellence principles.\n\nCoach teams on the use of:\nLean tools\n\nStandard Work\n\nVisual Management\n\nRoot Cause Analysis\n\n5S\n\nA3 Problem Solving\n\nValue Stream Mapping\n\nDaily Management Systems\n\nContinuous Improvement methodologies\n\nProject Management\nLead site-level strategic improvement projects from inception to completion.\n\nDevelop project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans.\n\nTrack and report project progress to site leadership.\n\nEnsure sustainability plans are established and maintained following project implementation.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, engineering, quality, or related functions.\n\nStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\n\nExperience leading cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives.\n\nAdvanced analytical and data interpretation skills.\n\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Excel, and data analysis tools.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.\n\nMedical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing industry experience.\n\nExperience with FDA-regulated environments.\n\nKnowledge of BD Excellence (BDEX) systems and methodologies.\n\nProven success leading plant-wide transformation projects.\n\nBilingual English/Spanish preferred.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
