Provides diversified supportofprojects, tests, diagnoses,experimentsand any other higher level electrical and/or programming support function. This position requires that qualified techniciansbe responsible forelectrical design concepts, programming, cost analysis, troubleshooting,debuggingand testing of new and existing production equipment. The Electrical Engineering Tech will also be expected toinitiateand complete projects that replace obsolete equipment, reduce operation cost, increase efficiency and capability, improve quality and any other ideas that lead to continuous improvements of automated manufacturing equipment.\nThis position will include support for PLC, vision, motion control, digital displays, robot material handlingsystemsand all other electrical control systems. Also provides electrical/electronic/mechanical production and project support including machine electrical control fabrication, troubleshooting and repairs for assigned product areas.\nThis job must be performed with diligence and attention to detail because of the significant safety and quality risks inherent to the position. This position will provide leadership through work direction,guidanceand training to department personnel. Daily interaction isrequiredwith other departments, BDplantsand vendors.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nEssential responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nWillbe responsible formaintainingequipment in the sterilization area. Responsibilities include project work, working with vendors,installationand onboarding of new equipment, upgrading existing equipment, andassistingin other areas, as needed.\nProgramming of any electrical control system.\n\nBackup for othertechnicians where service and supportisneeded. May require working off shift.\n\nInstallation and integration of safety control equipment.\n\nMaintains proper documentation for area(s) of responsibility.\n\nEnsures thatappropriate qualityengineers/techs/auditors/operatorsare notified of programming/electronic changes that affect product or process quality.\n\nMaintains and repairs electrical/electronic and optical equipment inthe sterilization area. This includes troubleshooting, testing,adjustingand calibrating replaced parts, etc. in a manner that willfacilitatea safe and effective repair.\n\nMinimizes quality risks due to the electrical/electronic machinery/equipment includingmaintaininginspection systems.\n\nMinimizes electrical safety risk by ensuring approved procedures arefollowedand standards are met.\n\nProject workincludinglayout,fabricationand programming.\n\nCommunicates andmaintainsa favorable rapport with team leaders, engineering,maintenanceand production associates.\n\nWorks with minimal supervision.\n\nIson-calltosupport fordowntime preventionand technical issues, as needed.\n\nUsescomputers to program PLC’sand interface with peripheral equipment.\n\nDrawsnew control diagrams or changes existing drawings using Auto Cad.\n\nCommunicates daily events, projects, etc. to themaintenance teamon the next shift.\n\nProvides training to production personnel and/or other technicians.\n\nMust be available during planned maintenance periods\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned by Team Leader andrequiredto support the needs of the business.\n\nObey all company policies,standardsand rules, including but not limited to: Safety policies and rules (including lockout procedures); Quality policies and rules\n\nMustmaintainregular, punctual attendance.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nPerforms other duties as assigned by theSr Engineerandrequiredto support the needs of the business\n\nRadiation Certification - Must be able to acquirein6months. This job is contingent on clearing an FBI background check. You will be requiredto provide fingerprints to be sent to the FBIThecorporate security officer will determineifthe backgroundinformation will be acceptable for this position.\n\nEducation:\nAssociates Degree(Major: Electronics or equivalent),required\n\nThe degree requirement may be satisfied throughdemonstratedrelevant experience or by active enrollment in the applicable degree program\n\nCertificate of Completion froman advanced PLC training course, preferred\n\nExperience:\n2+ years’ experience with related industrialelectronics,required\n\n3+ years’ experience withindustrialcontrols,required\n\nKnowledge,Skillsand Abilities:\nRequired:\nKnowledge of programming software for PLC’s, displays,servosand vision equipment.\n\nWell developedtechnical writing skills.\n\nForklift - Must be able to obtain within 3 months.\n\nAbility to learn robotic systems.\n\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude.\n\nAbility to think logically.\n\nAbility to use electronic/electrical test equipment including VOM, clamp on ammeter, logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot, diagnose electrical/mechanical problems.\n\nAbility to read and understand electrical/electronicdrawingand schematic diagrams.\n\nProvenproblem solvingskills.\n\nWell developedinterpersonal and teamwork skills.\n\nAbility to positively takedirectionand suggestions from others.\n\nDemonstrated customer service skills.\n\nWell developedcommunication skills.\n\nAbility to innovate and implementnew ideas.\n\nAbility to give direction to others.\n\nAbility to manage a large project.\n\nAbility to understand FDA and site regulations for change control.\n\nMust be able to speak,readand write English\n\nGood interpersonal skills\n\nComputer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred) -Advanced\n\nPreferred:\nAuto Cadproficiency.\n\nAbility to program robotic systems.\n\nVisual Basic programming skills.\n\nC/C+ programming skills.\n\nLeadershipskills,the ability to take on larger projects.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nPCP Level2: Exertingup to 20pounds of force occasionally, and/orup to10 pounds of forcefrequently.
