You will contribute to various stages of the product lifecycle, from concept through production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes.\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and test electrical circuits and systems for medical devices, including embedded systems, power management, sensor interfaces, and communication protocols.\nPerform schematic capture, PCB layout design, and component selection, considering factors such as manufacturability, cost, and reliability.\nConduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of electrical designs, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.\nDevelop and execute test plans, analyze test data, and generate comprehensive test reports.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product integration.\nParticipate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and technical expertise.\nEnsure all designs and processes adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485) and internal quality system requirements.\nSupport manufacturing transfer activities, including prototype builds, production test fixture development, and resolving production-related electrical issues.\nMaintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, analyses, and test results.\nStay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies and trends relevant to the medical device industry.\n Job Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n7-10 years of experience in electrical design and development\nProficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).\nStrong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, power electronics, and embedded systems.\nExperience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and various communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB).\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug complex electrical systems using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).\nFamiliarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485) is highly desirable.\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred\n Medical device industry or a highly regulated environment.\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
