This includes loading and unloading, grinding, inspecting product, removing defective product, recording inspection and production data, monitoring the performance of the equipment and notifying set-up for repairs so that continuous work patterns are maintained. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nComplete quality inspections in a timely and accruate manner, and record\nPerform manual and machine point grinding of Cannula.\nOperate electrolytic grinding and electrical discharge machine equipment.\nPerform minor set -up and repairs on equipment to which assigned and assist set-up with major changeovers and repairs.\nAssist QC Manufacturing Representative and /or QC Technician in performing machine and process capability studies, etc.\nMaintain equipment operation, monitoring and performance of grinding systems.\nKnow processes and QC Specifications.\nPerform Cannula/Stylets/Blades loading/unloading of grinders as required.\nInspect and remove defective product.\nMaintain product quality, equipment performance and production performance.\nMake process equipment adjustments, repairs and service as required so that continuous work patterns and operations are maintained.\nNotify set-up, utility and technicians when necessary.\nClean up as required.\nMaintain accurate production waste, quality, labor, etc. records.\nOther duties as required to support the needs of the business\nEducation:\nHigh School diploma/GED preferred\nIn lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required\nExperience:\nPrevious manufacturing experience preferred\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nWork effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere - Proficient\nWillingness and ability to train others - Proficient\nTeamwork - Proficient\nOrganization skills, detailed oriented - Basic\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
