It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nGeneral Duties:\nCheck ROH availability and order as necessary, (peptone; dyes, & chemicals etc) \nMaintain inventory control of reagents, supplements \nProvide support with inventory control of reference standards \nBio-hazardous Waste handling \nPrepare various types of Media - Agars & Broths \nMaintain inventory of prep area lab supplies - tubes, glassware, sample containers, weigh boats, pipettes, etc. \nPull materials to be weighed - staging \nWash glassware \nRun Autoclaves and pH meters - daily and monthly logs\nCommunicate with Supervisor for equipment/product issues\nFollow prep sheets for exact weighing and preparing of media\nMonthly water bath maintenance maintain stock media and Water blanks \nKeep Prep lab GMP compliant and audit ready - Maintain a clean lab environment\nCooking media on burners\nAbility to follow detail-oriented tasks in a timely manner\nAble to organize and prioritize daily workload\nHave working laboratory knowledge\nFollowing proper PPE, aseptic technique and safety requirements\nOther duties as assigned\nKnowledge / skills:\nFull time on-site lab position\nMust be able to work independently and as part of a team\nProblem solving abilities within a fast-paced environment\nMust follow written and verbal communication and be able to communicate effectively with others. \nMust have good organizational skills and be able to multi-task. \nMust be capable of thinking independently and have a great attention to detail.\nCapable of math and computer skills\nOperates under minimal supervision and schedules own work within the team.\nCommunicates well with others - questions to be referred to Microbiologists, Group Leaders and/or Supervisor\nMust be able to handle a fast-paced work environment and be on your feet most of the day as well as able to lift around 10lbs or so for inventory maintenance.\nEducation:\nAssociates degree or BS in related field preferred. \nTypical degree in Biological Sciences and/or Microbiology. \nLab experience preferred.\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
