It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nResponsibilities\nLeadership:\nLead and motivate production personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nProvide hands-on training and mentorship to operators, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices\n\nSupport the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations and resolving issues promptly.\n\nLead and participate in continuous improvement projects.\n\nProduction & Process Management:\nOversee production performance to ensure timely output and product quality.\n\nCoordinate with other departments to maintain workflow and meet production targets.\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) gains.\n\nTechnical Operations:\nOperate, set up, sanitize, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment.\n\nPerform and document preventive maintenance (PMs) accurately and on schedule.\n\nMaintain clear, legible logs and records; neat handwriting is required.\n\nTrain operators on equipment operation, safety, and maintenance procedures.\n\nProvide technical support to ensure smooth equipment operation and minimal downtime.\n\nCertification Requirement: Must complete Lead Operator 1 certification within 1 year of assuming the role.\n\nQuality Assurance\nMonitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed.\n\nCollaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold and improve quality standards.\n\nReporting & Documentation\nMaintain accurate production records and ensure confirmation accuracy.\n\nPrepare and submit TMS reports, PSA reports, equipment status updates, and production metrics.\n\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nOther responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:\nComply with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures.\n\nComplies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality assurance principles.\n\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\n\nObserves all safety, environmental and quality system standards.\n\nAll requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.\n\nSome requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees.\n\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge in equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\n\nFamiliarity with production management tools and preventive maintenance practices.\n\nFlexibility in scheduling to be here for maintenance and to meet production needs.\n\nCore Competencies\nAbility to read, write and understand English.\n\nAbility to understand the operation of production equipment and how to troubleshoot problems when encountered.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nLevel 4\nHeavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.\n\nPhysical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThe worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.\n\nThe worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals and broken glass.\n\nThe worker is subject to oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
