It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nLead Tech Mechanical Engineer\nSummary\nThe Lead Tech Mechanical Engineer provides technical support with the design and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.\nApplies technical knowledge with regards to mechanical design, PLCs, Vision Systems, Robots, Servos, etc. to resolve problems in the manufacturing process.\nHands-on apply technical knowledge to resolve machine and process issues with regards to mechanical, electrical, or programming of high-speed automated equipment. Hands on performs corrective and preventive maintenance. Develop initiatives to improve efficiency on all machines under his responsibility.\nResponsibilities:\nHands-on development improvements to high-speed automated equipment for the manufacturing of medical devices.\n\nPerforms troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-speed automated equipment.\n\nUse technical knowledge and experience in programming and troubleshooting to resolve issues and to improve the performance of the automated machines based on the following technologies:\nRobots: FANUC, ABB, Epson and Stäubli (strong experience with pick and place applications)\n\nStrong knowledge in Rockwell Automation Software: Studio 5000 (RSLogix 5000), Factory Talk Machine Edition/Site Edition, etc.\n\nStrong knowledge in Siemens Automation Software: Step 7, Tia Portal, Winn CC etc.\n\nStrong knowledge in Servo Motion Controls System as Kinetix Servo drives, Sinamics or similar\n\nAdvanced process control as Fuzzy Logix, Profibus, ProfiNet networks, PID Function and Functional Charts Language, Ethernet-IP / TCP-IP Networks.\n\nStrong knowledge in development and programming of Vision Systems such as Cognex (Insight 5000, 2000, micro, Keyence CVX, IV, Banner).\n\nExtensive experience in ultrasonic welding,\n\nInkJet printers (Domino, Lynx, Markem Image, Keyence).\n\nExperience in thermos transfer printers, flexographic printers and digital printers.\n\nProduct and parts identification including RFID and Barcoding (software, printers, and readers).\n\nStrong knowledge in pneumatics and electropneumatic, mechanical knowledge, electronics.\n\nFollow all safety procedures and identify/communicate the necessary adjustments to address potential safety concerns, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).\n\nWork with BD production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure that goals are met.\n\nMaintain primary communication of performance goals and requirements identified by management.\n\nSupport CAPA activities as required (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to address systemic issues in the manufacturing and quality systems.\n\nAbility to work on flexible schedule and cover 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor's degree is required (degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or any related field is desired).\n\nAt least 3-5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in a highly automated environment).\n\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
