The role serves as a trusted subject matter expert and primary resource for team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support on complex planning matters. This position leads cross-functional projects and advanced supply chain planning activities, including proactive risk mitigation, supply execution oversight, forecasting, capacity planning, scenario analysis, and performance monitoring and reporting. Success requires a collaborative, innovative leader and facilitator with strong analytical and communication skills.\nEssential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):\nServe as a go-to planning expert, providing team members with guidance and support on complex issues.\nLead cross-functional supply chain projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment, ownership, and results.\nAlign global supply, operational, market, and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities.\nLead customer service communications for assigned product portfolios.\nMonitor production attainment and proactively communicate supply constraints and risks.\nMonitor capacity and partner cross-functionally to resolve constraints.\nPartner with demand planners to mitigate customer service, inventory, and cost risks.\nDevelop global inventory allocation and production prioritization strategies.\nLead backorder reporting, root-cause analysis, mitigation, and team updates.\nDefine, recommend, and maintain safety stock targets.\nProvide finished-goods availability dates to Commercial teams.\nAnalyze inventory performance, depletion, targets, and excess and obsolete risk.\nPlan inventory allocation for global regulatory builds.\nSupport SKU rationalization, RECODE, and product lifecycle initiatives.\nManage product phase-outs to minimize obsolete inventory.\nLead supply planning for new product launches, including stocking strategy requirements.\nPerform advanced analysis for issue resolution, scenario planning, and financial evaluation.\nQuery and interpret data to support decisions.\nProvide insights to Business Unit leadership and support annual business planning.\nPrepare executive-level presentations.\nEnsure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and company requirements; perform other assigned duties and projects.\nRequired Qualifications:\nSolid knowledge of key Supply Chain concepts (Demand/Supply/Production Planning, Capacity Leveling, PLM, Logistics and Inventory Control)\nExperience in manufacturing environment coordinating multi-discipline activities\nBS in Supply Chain Management or related field\nProven ability to effectively engage with cross-functional organizations (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.)\nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills needed to resolve conflicts impacting the business strategy\nAdvanced Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation\nDemonstrated customer-centric focus and global orientation\nDetail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProject Management certification\nMulti-year experience with planning systems, ERP systems experience required, Kinaxis system experience a plus. \nKnowledge and awareness of Lean techniques and Six Sigma, experience\nAdvanced knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.)\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
